The homelessness issue has now exploded beyond a crisis situation. We have a growing pandemic of homeless people in the 33rd Congressional District.
To add insult to injury, the incumbent Congressman here can give not even lip service to this issue, he’s too busy in pursuit of grabbing headlines attacking the President.
I’m proposing a “Manhattan Project” style movement of Government, Business, Housing, Medical and Social Groups to begin to formulate real solutions to these real problems.
We need to find solutions, not seek national self-serving headline.
I will work to identify ways to lower taxes while at the same time improving the economy.
We are in the midst of one of the greatest economic booms in recent memory. More African Americans and Latinos are working than in any past Administration.
I pledge to work with all parties to see to it that all who want to work can and will work.
Quality jobs, quality pay, continued expansion of the economy…That’s my pledge to you.
The US track record of care and service to our returned Veterans is beyond atrocious.
We need to do more than welcome these Warriors home, we need to make sure their needs are met.
Far too many Veterans are living on the edge. Many are homeless or facing homelessness. Most can find the vital services they need at the VA. We live in an area with one of the largest VA facilities, yet that facility is being repurposed for parking cars and corporate greed, not as a service for our Veterans.
This has to stop. I pledge to work tirelessly to serve our Veteran population here in the 33rd and nationwide.
